Keith Johansen – Co-Owner, Host & Visionary
For Keith, Alaska Kenai Adventures is more than a lodge—it’s the realization of a long-time dream to combine his passion for fishing, community, and connection into one unforgettable experience. A lifelong outdoorsman and the owner of Johansen Mechanical Inc., Keith began using fishing trips as a way to connect with clients and partners long before Alaska Kenai Adventures ever existed.
Keith’s approach to running the lodge is simple: create something people can’t wait to return to. Keith treasures seeing families and friends laughing, reeling in salmon, and making lasting memories. When he’s not on the river or around the lodge, you’ll find him traveling, catching a Seattle Sounders game, or introducing someone new to the thrill of Dungeness crabbing.

“This is about more than fishing—it’s about sharing Alaska, giving back, and building something people can’t wait to come back to.”

Dan Reina – Co-Owner, Storyteller & Host
Dan’s roots in Alaska run deep—born and raised in Ninilchik and Anchorage, he spent his youth fishing with his dad and chasing kings across the Kenai Peninsula. One of the founding forces behind Alaska Kenai Adventures, Dan wears many hats—from promoting the lodge to guiding guests through unforgettable fishing days and evenings around the campfire. His perfect Alaskan day includes halibut in the morning, sockeye at the lodge, rainbow trout on the fly, and a five-star dinner to close it all out.
When he’s not up north, Dan runs businesses in Seattle and gives back to his community. His favorite part of the job? Watching guests light up when they reel in their dream catch—and making sure they know they’re part of the family.
“For many people, Alaska is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I’m here to help make sure it becomes a tradition instead.”
